Women’s substance use treatment beds now open in DTES

Vancouver Coastal Health has announced the opening of 38 new substance use treatment spaces for women in the DTES, in partnership with the Province, BC Housing and Atira Women’s Resource Society.

The new spaces include 10 short-stay and 28 longer-term beds for women needing additional support, and is part of a broader plan to fulfill VCH’s important commitment to women through the DTES Second Generation Strategy.
